Crowne Plaza Coming to Downtown Kitchener

There’s a Crowne Plaza Hotel coming to downtown Kitchener.

InterContinental Hotels Group says the hotel is slated to open later this year. It’s taking over the Delta, which was sold in late 2012.
A multi-million dollar renovation has already started.

In a news release, IHG says the 201 room property is well-positioned, adding there are several major employers in the area that will benefit from the meetings-savvy products and services that only a Crowne Plaza hotel can provide.

The new hotel will house 15-thousand square feet of meeting space.
