Caring for Communities Around the World

As part of our corporate social responsibility efforts, The Vista Group of Companies is committed to improving the communities closest to us and society in general.

The Visram Foundation (The Malekkhanu & Sherali Fazal Visram Memorial Foundation) is our foundation and aims to provide daily care of orphaned and underprivileged children in India. Through The Visram Foundation, commonly known as REACH, we further the legacy of the Visram family in supporting various charitable efforts in Canada, the United States, and India.

Please take a look below for a complete collection of our efforts in making the world a better place.

Affecting Change in Local Regions

The Vista Group of Companies owns and manages numerous properties in Canada and the United States. As such, we have engaged in several different programs to affect change in the communities in which we are located.

Green Engage Logo

Green Engage is an online environmental sustainability tool, which gives hotels the ability to track how much energy, carbon and water they are using, as well as assess how waste is managed. The IHG Green Engage system comprises of more than 200 specific actions – or ‘Green Solutions’ – designed to reduce a hotel’s environmental impact.

Green Key Eco-Rating Program Logo

Our hotels and resorts are audited and rated by the Hotel Association of Canada’s well-established and well-regarded Green Key Eco-Rating Program. This program recognizes companies like ours that are committed to improving their environmental performance.

Green Key Meetings Program Logo

The Green Key Meetings program, co-created by Green Key Global and The MPI Foundation Canada, is a comprehensive assessment tool for lodging and event facilities that host meetings of any size. Developed with the assistance of senior meeting planner professionals, the program is an excellent tool for travel, meeting and conference planners in determining a facility’s level of commitment to environmental issues.
