Leadership at the Vista Group of Companies

The Vista Group of Companies’ leadership is based in both Canada and the United States of America. While the Canadian office of Vista deals primarily with acquisitions, the USA office works to oversee property operations and management and works with leading hotel franchises. Combined, the Vista Group of Companies’ strong leaders across the two offices work in tandem, allowing for comprehensive North American coverage.

AMIN S. VISRAM

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Visram is responsible for the acquisition/disposition of real estate properties as well as the management of shopping malls, office buildings and related commercial real estate. He also oversees Vista’s strategic planning, corporate development plans, expansion and acquisition strategies.

Amin S. Visram is a Co-Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of the Vista Group of Companies.

Amin co-founded Vista with his brother Ally. Prior to that, Amin was a Partner with the Law Offices of Visram, Ronquillo & Associates in Boston, MA. Also from 1986 to 1988 he had served as an Assistant District Attorney for Suffolk County in Boston, MA.

Amin is responsible for the acquisition/disposition of real estate properties as well as the management of shopping malls, office buildings, and related commercial real estate. He also oversees Vista’s strategic planning, expansion, and acquisition strategies.

Amin received a Bachelor of Arts from York University, Ontario, Canada. He attended Law School at the New England School of Law, Boston, MA and graduated with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) in 1984. He was admitted to the Bar in the United States in 1985.

Amin has and continues to participate on various Boards both Public and Private.

Amin is also the Co-Founder of the Visram Foundation.

TYLER J. PUDDY

In-House General Counsel

Tyler is responsible for the company’s legal department, including transacting in real estate and general business law, commercial acquisitions, leasing, finance, construction and development. He also works closely with Senior and Subordinate debt providers and handles corporate regulatory filings.

Tyler Puddy is the In-House General Corporate Counsel for the Vista Group of Companies.

Tyler is responsible for the company’s legal department, including transacting in real estate and general business law, commercial acquisitions, leasing, finance, construction, and development. He also works closely with Senior and Subordinate debt providers and handles corporate regulatory filings.

Tyler graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Masters in Business Administration, and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. Tyler is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association, Peel Law Association, and American College of Equine Attorneys.

He is also a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and had many years of post-qualification experience at an Ontario business law firm prior to joining the Vista Group of Companies.

Tyler has an excellent background and a wide range of knowledge and experience in dealing with complex real estate and other legal commercial issues.

MANINDER (MANIE) BINDRA

VP - Finance & Accounting

Manie is based at the Group’s Canadian office and is responsible for financial reports, budgets, projections and other analysis.

Manie is based out of the Group’s Canadian office and is responsible for preparing financial reports, budgets, projections and other analysis. He also assists the CEO in matters relating to acquisition, due diligence, as well as other operational and commercial matters.

Manie is a Chartered Accountant (India) and also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan. Manie holds a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CGA) in Canada. His tenure with the Vista Group of Companies started as an Accountant in 2002 and was subsequently ascended to an Assistant Controller’s position in 2004 and then to a Controller. Manie is now the VP of Finance & Accounting.

His experience includes developing management tools to measure and analyze key performance indicators, as well as designing Excel-based models for due diligence, acquisition and disposition of various properties. Manie’s role also includes reviewing yearly common-area maintenance, reconciliations and prepared cost recovery for our commercial portfolio.

SAM KRYGER

VP - Operations Canada

He performs detailed analysis of each Canadian hotel’s operating performance focusing on achieving ongoing profitability.

Sam is responsible for overseeing the operations of all the hotels belonging to the Vista Group in Canada. His functions include performing detailed analysis of each hotel’s operating performance in order to achieve continued profitability, and working closely with the COO and Director of Operations.

Sam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. He is an experienced hospitality industry executive/leader combining entrepreneurial spirit with a professional management background.

Sam had previously worked at Vista for 12 years from 1994 to 2006 as Vice President of Operations. He left Vista in 2006 to develop Greek Peak Mountain Resort in New York State. After the complete development and sale of the property, he came back to Vista in August 2013. He also worked as General Manager of several hotels prior to 1994.

FARHAZ LALJI

VP - Acquisitions & Asset Management

Farhaz is responsible for working directly with our teams in Canada and the USA in evaluating and acquiring various asset classes while overseeing all Asset Management functions.

Farhaz is the VP of Acquisitions and Asset Management at the Vista Group of Companies.

A CPA by profession, Farhaz works closely with the VP of Finance and Accounting on a regular basis. His responsibility includes working directly with our management teams in Canada and the USA to evaluate and acquire various asset classes while overseeing all Asset Management functions.

Farhaz has extensive experience in mergers and acquitisions, as well as the accounting sector. Prior to joining Vista, Farhaz had management roles at Ernst & Young and BDO Transaction Advisory Services dealing with mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that, he was with BDO Canada LLP where he was a Senior Staff Accountant.

SAMER GHAZI

VP - Asset Management

Samer is responsible for property management, leasing and development activity as well as the strategic planning for leaseable areas and all asset management functions of some of the commercial properties in the Vista Group.

Samer Ghazi is the VP of Asset Management for Commercial Assets at the Vista Group of Companies.

Samer is responsible for property management, leasing and development activity as well as the strategic planning for leaseable areas and all asset management functions of the commercial properties at Vista.

Samer completed four years in Electrical Engineering before pursuing his Hotel Management degree. He has also completed Project Management courses at McGill University. Additionally, he has managed shopping centers and has experience in resort and attractions management.

Samer has broad exposure to retail, office and industrial asset classes. He also assists and participates in all aspects of commercial asset acquisitions and stabilization.

ANIL K. VERMA

VP - Business Development

Anil is responsible for development of new business opportunities and our Retirement Living division.

Anil Verma is the VP of Business Development at the Vista Group of Companies.

Anil is responsible for the development of new business opportunities and our Retirement Living division.

He is responsible for the operations and management of the Retirement Homes in Canada. Through effective marketing strategies and improved management services, he has succeeded in delivering improved service to a large clientele.

Anil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Economics/Econometrics from York University, Ontario. He also completed an MBA (Finance & Marketing) from University of Ottawa and attended the Executive Development Program at the Schulich School of Management, York University, Ontario.

Prior to joining Vista, Anil worked as a Senior Advisor, Market Research Group with Saudi Telecom and as an Associate Director with Stentor. He had also worked for Bell Canada in their marketing department for over ten years.

MUNNIE NAURANGA

Executive Assistant to the CEO

Munnie is involved in preparing documentation for potential properties, due diligence for acquisitions or dispositions and related areas. She is also responsible for and maintains the legal library, the Vista virtual data room and other office functions for the Senior Management.

Munnie Nauranga is the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Office at Vista Group of Companies.

She is involved in assisting and the preparation of documentation for acquisitions, dispositions and related areas. She is also responsible for and maintains the company’s virtual libraries as well as the upkeep of IT Support. Her role also includes assisting senior management and handling of numerous office management functions.

Munnie graduated from Queensway Pittman’s College, Insight Computer Training as well as The Kenya Institute of Management with a diploma in Business Management.

Prior to joining Vista, Munnie had worked for various international firms.

Munnie is also the coordinator for the Visram Foundation in Canada.

ALLY VISRAM

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Visram is responsible for providing strategic leadership for Vista’s hotel operating division, which include full service, select service and limited service hotels. He arranges leading hotel franchises in diverse markets in Canada and the US, as well as repositions hotels to become market leaders.

Ally Visram is a Co-Founder and the Chief Operating Officer of the Vista Group of Companies.

Ally co-founded vista with his brother Amin. Prior to that, Ally worked as a Senior Finance Executive in the hospitality industry in the United States.

Ally is responsible for providing the overall leadership for Vista’s hotel operating division, which includes full service, select service, and limited service hotels. He works with leading hotel franchises, such as Marriott, IHG, Choice Hotels, Radisson, and Hilton. He also leads all renovation strategies and operational changes to maximize operational performance, profit margins and oversee tax planning initiatives.

Ally graduated from Sheridan College, Oakville, Ontario in Business Administration (Accounting & Finance) and from the University of Windsor, Ontario with a Bachelor of Commerce Honors Degree in Accounting.

Ally is also the Co-Founder of the Visram Foundation.

ASHOK SURY

VP - Finance & Accounting

Maintains Vista’s books of accounts, preparing special financial reports, budgets, projections and financial analysis and taxes.

Ashok is responsible for maintaining the company books of accounts, preparing special financial reports, budgets, projections and financial analysis, and handling taxation. He also assists the COO with due diligence, insurance, lease negotiations, and more.

Ashok is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Delaware and holds a Masters of Science in Hospitality Administration from Johnson and Wales University, Rhode Island, USA and an undergraduate diploma in hotel management and catering technology from the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, India. Ashok has been with Vista since 1993.

DARIN MILLER

VP - Operations USA

Responsible for overseeing the operations and management of all Vista hotels in the USA with a focus on improving hotel efficiency and profitability.

Darin joined the Vista Group of Companies in January 2008 and brings with him high level expertise in hotel operations and management. He is responsible for overseeing the operations and management of all the hotels in the USA while improving their efficiency and profitability.

Darin holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management/Marketing (Minor – Finance) from Frostburg State University, Maryland. Darin comes with twenty years of hotel experience in full-service, extended stay and limited service properties. Some of the brands he has been involved with include Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Comfort Suites, Hampton Inn, Courtyard by Marriott and Hilton. During the last seven years, he served as Regional Operations Manager for Extended Stay Hotels Inc. in Baltimore, Maryland.

DON BOSWORTH

Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing

Responsible for the revenue generating and marketing efforts of the Company’s hotel portfolio working with property-level management.

Don is responsible for the revenue generating and marketing efforts of Vista’s hotel portfolio, working with property-level management to exceed budget expectations.

Don comes to Vista with 25 years of experience managing all facets of hotel sales and marketing operations including group room and catering sales, revenue management and online and offline marketing. He also brings a multi-brand background having worked with Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and independent hotels.

Don lives in the Orlando area and is based at Vista’s Crowne Plaza Downtown Orlando Hotel.

ERIC E. BUDZINSKI

Assistant Corporate Controller

Performs internal audits of the accounting functions and operations of all Vista hotels in the United States.

Eric is responsible for performing cash flow analysis and management of all of the Group’s hotels in the USA.

Eric graduated from the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He was a Staff Accountant in accounting firms in New York and Pennsylvania for twelve years before joining Vista.

SIEGBERT KINDL

Director of Operations - Florida

Oversees the management and operations of all Vista hotels in Florida with a focus of improving efficiency and profitability.

Siegbert joined Vista in May 2010 and brings extensive professional experience in hotel and resort operations and development. He oversees the management and operations of all Vista hotels in Florida with a focus of improving efficiency and profitability.

Siegbert graduated from the Hotel Administration School of Bad Reichenhall, Germany with a degree in Hotel Administration. Siegbert also graduated from Holiday Inn University’s General Managers Program.

Before joining Vista, Siegbert worked as the Director of Operations in a prominent hotel management company in Florida. He has 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has worked with famous brands, including Hilton, Marriott, Radisson, and Holiday Inn in the State of Florida.

JENNIFER DENYKO

Executive Assistant to COO

Responsible for office management, human resources, information technology support to the Vista office and properties, contract renewals and graphic design for the hotels

Jenn is the Executive Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer at the Vista Group of Companies. 

She is responsible for office management, human resources, information technology support to the Vista office and properties, contract renewals and graphic design for the hotels.

Jenn graduated from the State University of New York at Delhi with a Bachelors in Business Administration with a minor in Hotel/Resort management. Jenn has also worked as a general manager for both a hotel and hospital. She brings a wealth of knowledge to Vista.
